Day 1

Arrive CHENNAI-INTERNATIONAL Terminal INTL at 01:00Hrs (Drive to Mahabalipuram (60Km)

Early MorningMeet, greet and assist by our airport representative transfer to, Mahabalipuram. Check in. Mahabalipuram with its picturesque location on a rocky outcrop between the beach and a lagoon is a happy combination of history, good beaches, hassle-free tourism and fabulous fish and lobster! Despite the many visitors, drawn by the former Pallava dynasty town, the place is friendly, relaxed, and the villagers are remarkably unperturbed by their crowds of visitors. Mahabalipuram is renowned for its series of charming rathas and the spectacular carved relief depicting Arjunas Penance. The magnificent ShoreTemple, built by king Rajasimha in the seventh century, is a unique temple that houses the shrines of both Shiva and Vishnu while the VarahaCave is one of the many rock-cut caves in Mahabalipuram. The Krishna Mandapam has a bas-relief of Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan hill in his fingertips. Afternoon visit Shore Temple, five Rathas and Arjunas famous shore temples. This was the second capital and seaport of the Pallava kings of Kanchipuram, the first Tamil dynasty of any real consequence to emerge after the fall of the Gupta dynasty. The shore temples built between 5TH AND 8TH centuries AD, in particular strikes a very romantic theme and are some of the most photographed monuments in India. Rest of the day relax at the sun, sea and sand beach.Dinner and over night at hotel .

Day 03

Mahabalipuram-Pandicherry (162Km)

After breakfast drive to Pondicherry. Afternoon visit of Pondichery This restored, attractive, former French colony exudes a Mediterranean aura, with its chic streets, elegant houses, ornamental gardens and the Hotel de Ville. Being a small and quiet enclave of Tamil Nadu, it has imbibed the Tamilian culture. Pondicherry is oval-shaped, with streets aligned at right angles. The skillfully planned township is distinguished by a 3 km longesplanade, which skirts the town and encloses the tourist attractions. Visit the GandhiMuseum and other attractions.Overnight at the hotel.

Morning after breakfast visit Pondicherry Museum and its colonial archives, Sacre Coeur Church with its 3 large stained glass windows, Notre Dame des Anges and its two remarkable towers, noted for the paintings offered by Napoleon III, the botanical garden built in 1826 with its large selection of local and foreign species, the Institute of Indian history,AnandaRanga; Pillais House a strange architectural mix of Indian and French architecture and the Aurobindo Ashram, the citys high point. Day 05

Pandicherry-Tanjore (177Km)

After breakfast continue towards Tanjoreand check Thanjavur was at the height of its glory during the Chola period between the 10th and the 14th century and became a great centre of learning and culture. Afternoon visit of Tanjore Thanjavur lies to the east of Trichy and has the reputation as the "Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu". The TamilUniversity, set up recently is situated here and is devoted to the growth of Tamil literature and language. One of the best temples in South India, the BrihadeeswararTemple or the BigTemple built by the greatest Chola emperor Raja RajaChola, is that dynastys finest contribution to Dravidian temple architecture. If the BigTemple is an ancient landmark of Thanjavur, the TamilUniversity a Temple of learning could be spoken of, as its modern counterpart with its impressive temple-like facade along with its library housed in a circular building resembling the architectural style of Indias parliament.Over night at hotel.
Day 06

Tanjore -Madurai (195Km)

After breakfast drive to Madurai. Afternoon sightseeing of Madurai One of South Indias great temple towns, Madurai is synonymous with the celebrated MeenakshiTemple. Situated on the banks of river Vaigai, Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Madurai was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 AD. It was the capital city for the great Pandya kings.The Pandyan King Kulasekarar built a great temple and created a lotus shaped city around the temple. On the day the city was to be named, as Lord shiva blessed the land and its people, divine nectar (Madhu) was showered on the city from his matted locks. This city was henceforth known as Madhurapuri. Madurai is famous for Jasmine Flowers. Evening after fresh up proceeds to Madurai temple to attend Evening Ceremony.Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Tirumalayak Palace, 1.5 km southeast of the MeenakshiTemple. Much of it was dismantled by Thirumalais grandson, ChockkanathaNayak, and used for a new palace at Tiruchirapalli. What remains was renovated in 1858 by the Governor of Madras, Lord Napier, and again in 1971 for the Tamil WoldConference.Laterproceed for the guided sightseeing of Madurai including Great Tankand Gandhi museum. Day 08

Madurai -Thekaddy (150Km)

After breakfast drive to Madurai..After noon proceeds to Thekkady sightseeing. Evening go for Elephant ride at Spice plantation. Over Night at Hotel.
Day 09


Early morning take a guided Jungle walk at the Periyar tiger reserve/national park. This 03hrs walk (not very hard) is very interesting and gives you the chance to see the wild life at a very close distance. If you are lucky you may even spot the rarely sighted leopards & tigers. Later return to the hotel and after refreshment we set on for a guided plantation tour at the outskirts and then evening on for the most popular boat trip at the park - the best place to observe the game in wild life by boat. There are many animals to see, including herds of elephants, bisons and packs of wild boars that roam through the woods and parade along the shores of the lake just before sunrise and sunset. You can also see also different species of apes. The golden langur monkey that lives here is rarely seen in the rest of India. Other animals in Periyar are otters and porcupines. Water turtles can often be seen sunning themselves on the pieces of wood that stick out of the water. Osprey and Cormorants belong to the most important species of birds in this area. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10

Thekaddy-Kumarakom (125Km)

After breakfast Morning visit of Spice Plantations Over twelve varieties of spices are cultivated in and around Kumily. The spice plantation tour covers spice plantations such as cardamom, pepper, vanilla, clove, nutmeg etc. and also some ayurvedic plants and herbs. The duration of the trip is normally one to two hours. The service of an experienced guide will give full and detailed explanation of the plants and its uses. Also visit a tea plantation during the tour. After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. After noon day can be spent at leisure. (Overnight at the hotel) When nature is all you need to recuperate, Kumarakom is undoubtedly the most invigorating, fascinating paradise in Kerala, Gods own country. Day 11


Early morning at 6.30am proceeds for Bird sanctuary vistt. After breakfast visit kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent VembanadLake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where youll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. The fresh water of the lake runs into the mainland making a labyrinth of lagoons, brooks, canals and waterways. The backwater houses a variety of species of both fauna and flora. They are rich with marine life namely the exclusive KumarakomKarimeen (pearl spotted fish), Konju (tiger prawns), Njandu (crabs), Chemeen (prawns) and many more.OverNight at Hotel .

Kumarakom -Cochin (70Km)

After breakfast drive to Cochin.Afternoon free for the day at leisure or own activities. Over night at hotel .
Day 13


After breakfast morning visit the St. Francis Church, built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars,The Jewish synagogue, one of the oldest in India. Afternoon visit of Cochin, with a fine natural harbour, which has been Keralas center of trade for innumerable centuries. Visit the MattancherryPalace or "DutchPalace built in 1557 AD. Enjoy the spectacle of Kathakalidance.Overnight at Hotel .
Day 14

Cochin -Mumbai By Flight (SG-112 AT 1130Hrs)

Arrive Mumbai at 1340Hrs after drive to hotel TajMahal.Check in hotel.Afternoon city tour of Mumbai -. The Gateway of India, The Hanging gardens, Prince of Wales Museum and the Gandhi Museum.Overnight at hotel .
